Poor Jordy got stitches

I got the dreaded phone call from Joryn's school that she had bumped her head and probably needed stitches. I was so shaky and trying to think calmly about what to do. I got my neighbor to pick Ash up from pre-school and then picked up Jordy. She wasn't crying and was being so tough. She only started to cry when she said she wanted to call Daddy. Unfortunately Darrick was out of town in training meetings, so it was hard to get a hold of him. We had a horrible experience at Urgent Care when Ashlyn needed stitches, so I went to the ER. I used to think stitches were no big deal...now having gone through them with both my girls, I think it's horrible. They gave her numbing cream and started with the first stitch. She started crying and said it hurt really bad. The doctor said we can give her a shot, or just try to finish. I asked Jordy what she wanted to do and she said, just keep going. That's my brave girl, she's so tough!
Right after she got her 6 stitches at 6 years old.

Hopefully the scar will be hid in her eyebrow. Her eye turned a little red, purple, and yellow the next day. She just had the stitches removed and she did great for that. We'll wait for the steri strips to fall off now and then apply Mederma with sunscreen for the next 6 months to help the scar heal nicely. Hopefully this is the last time for stitches...I'm done!

Golfing With Daddy

Darrick took Jordy to the driving range with him and they both had a great time. He said she was really wanting to learn how to golf and was taking the time to listen and take direction well. So he bought her her own set of golf clubs. We all went together to watch her!

She was excited she could wear hers on her back, just like Daddy's.
Excited to ride in the golf cart

Practice swingAnd she's ready to "Tee Off"
Jordyn wanted to take a picture of us.
Daddy with his girls

This is how Ash would drive the cart. I would steer while she pushed the gas. She couldn't reach so she scooted all the way down, held on, and closed her eyes. She cracks me up!

♥Here are some video's of the girls golfing. If you only watch one, you gotta watch the last one♥

Emma's 1st Pedicure

Emma got her first pedicure today in preparation for her Cabo trip. Upon entering the store Emma clung tightly to her Mommy and started to cry. Jessi assured her everything was fine and they were going to get their toes done. As soon as the ladies walked her back to the pedicure chair, Emma was so upset and crying. At first Jessi didn't know why she was crying and then it dawned on her...she think's she's at the Doctor's Office (where she cries because she remembers that's where she gets her shots). The reason she thinks she's at the doctor's is because our children's doctor is Filipino. I think that is hilarious...poor Emma thinks she's surrounded by doctors who are going to give her shots. They had rubber gloves and all!
After Mommy's pedicure, she trusted she would be in good hands.
She held so still and just watched

Jordy's 1st day of Kindergarten at her new school

Jordyn started Kindergarten at her new school today. She was so excited! My good friend and neighbor (teaches Kindergarten at her school) helped her get into the same class as all of our neighbor's oldest girls. So she already had 3 friends that she knew and couldn't wait to get there!

Emma did so good trying to write on her eggs.

They were on a mission, didn't want to stop to smile for the camera

This precious one was just looking for a place to lay down, she was quite the trooper!

The Edison boys sure do make cute girls...

Emma's counting her money from the egg hunt!

Now it's time to sing Happy Birthday! Jordy was so excited her birthday was on Easter this year. She doesn't like cake, so she finally picked brownies...then didn't even eat one. We should've just put candles on biscuits or garlic bread!!
Jordy shares her birthday with Darrick's Grandma, Meme!

*Here's some video's of the day*

Ashlyn calls Hershey Kisses, "Hershey Kershey's" and I just love when she says it!

Onna and Papa got Jordy an electric scooter for her birthday! She loves it and is a little too comfortable on it. She's a dare devil!!

WE'RE MOVING!!!!!!

This moving company will be here in 6 days to pack us up and move us back home. We are so excited and on the countdown! Can't wait to be down the street from Philly, Jessi, and Emma and I can't wait to be just houses away from my 3 favorite people and my girls best friends!! Not to mention all of our other family and friends that will be within 15 minutes of us, we are on cloud 9 right now.

Sock Hop

Jordyn's school sent home a flyer that they were having a Sock Hop dance. I talked to Jordyn about it and she said she didn't want to go. So that Friday came and it was the night of the Sock Hop. Jordyn came home from school at 3:00pm and said, "Mommy tonights the Sock Hop at school and I really want to go. All my friends are going and I want to go see them!" I told her it started in 3 hours and you were supposed to dress up. She said, "Please, I really want to go." So I called Darrick and told him I wasn't cooking dinner and we were having hot dogs and hamburgers at the Sock Hop, so hurry home. I threw these outfits together and the girls were so excited to say the least!
Ashlyn said, "Jordy you have to introduce me to your friends. You say, this is my sister Ashlyn"
They enjoyed their dinner there, then did the costume contest, then danced their socks off! Jordyn is a social butterfly and Ashlyn stuck pretty close to her Daddy and I the entire time.
