End of Soccer Season Pizza Party

Jordyn just finished her first season of outdoor soccer. She absolutely loved it! We loved going to watch her games, so exciting for all of us!
She was so excited to get her first trophy! She put it on her shelf in her room. She's very proud of it!
We are so proud of her. She improved so much this year. She's more aggressive and goes after the ball. She made a lot of goals, which she's very proud of. She would warm up before games by running up and down our stairs. She was convinced that was why she could outrun everyone. We can't wait to see what other sport she wants to play or to watch her play soccer again!

Here is a video of what her Coach had to say about her...

American Girl Bitty Baby

Ashlyn got another present in the mail and she hasn't put it down since. Her Onna & Papa and Darrick's sister Natalie and Mickey and her cousins got her an American Girl Bitty Baby with matching jammies and backpack/carrier & different outfits. She went to her room after opening it and didn't come out for over 30 minutes. She fed her and changed her and mothered her.
She loves that she came with her own "beep" (blanket) because Ash has her "beep" and every baby needs one.
Matching

Baby Sadie (she named her) wrapped up in her beep going for a walk with her dog on the leash.
Sadie came with a baby book to record all her "firsts" in. Ashlyn thinks it a storybook for her. She read her a bedtime story last night and this was Jordyn reading them both a story this morning. Ashlyn slept with her in her bed too. Like I said, she hasn't been away from her since she opened her up. Even took her with us to take Jordy to school. I have a feeling she'll be going a lot of places with us. Maybe Murphy and Max will babysit for her sometimes!!

Ashlyn's 4th Birthday!

We are used to a big family birthday party, but with no family here we still wanted to make it a very special day for Ashlyn. We started with a best friends make-over at a kids salon. Good thing Ashlyn picked Jordy as her best friend to take. They were so excited!

Ashlyn is so shy. She didn't talk for the first 30 minutes or so.
She didn't want to smile at all. Doesn't she look like she's having fun getting her hair done with hot chocolate and all!
You can always count on Jordyn to do the talking!
Jordyn's hair...
They LOVED having pink, purple, and blue in their hair.

After Ashlyn opened all of her presents, she went to the other room and quietly sat their for over 15 minutes applying all of her chapsticks. The only thing she wanted for her birthday was double sided chapstick(see video below). Which is what she's holding in this picture.
Frosting her cupcakes
Funfetti cupcakes with Funfetti frosting...just happens to be my favorite too!
Jordyn helping to frost the cupcakes even though she hates frosting. We left 2 unfrosted for her. This child is crazy! Ashlyn and I make up for her dislike for frosting!
The only thing left to do was to get her ears pierced! Jordy got hers done when she turned four, so that's what Ashlyn wanted to do too!
I was shocked she was actually going through with it. She is so reserved and not a risk taker at all. Quite the opposite of my Jordy!!
One, two, three...
Trying to be brave...
But it hurts...
A sucker helps to make everything better!
Happy as soon as she sees them in the mirror!
Wearing the new jammies that Meme sent
So proud! She said the best part of her birthday was getting her ears pierced!!
Finally cupcake time!!
Happy Birthday Ashlyn, you truly are a blessing to Mommy and Daddy. You make us laugh everyday with the cute way you talk and things you say. You are our princess! We love you more than words can express!!

Halloween

Daddy and Jordyn carved pumpkins together!
Ashlyn just watched from a distance. She said it was too stinky and yucky! That's my princess!!
We went Trick-or-Treating at the mall first. Notice their shoes...the first crafty thing I've ever done without the help of my mom. Last year the girls shoes hurt their feet all night, so I wanted them to be comfortable. They are most comfortable in flip-flops, so I bought ribbon and lined the flip-flop straps and glued big flowers on top. I also bought the tights seperately. This is the most I've ever done to a costume before. I was proud! My mom and my sister Tammy, definitely took all the crafty genes, I have none!!
The girls wanted to match, so they were both Tinker Bell

The girls enjoyed passing out candy more than trick-or-treating themselves.

Children's Museum

Ashlyn's favorite thing in the world, well after chapstick of course, is Clifford the Big Red Dog. We were so excited to hear that he was coming to the Children's Museum. Every 6 months or so, they change the theme and now it's Clifford. Ashlyn was so excited.
