Trip to Seattle

We decided since we are so close to Seattle now, we should plan a weekend getaway to there.
Penguin made out of recycled material.
The view from our room
The white cranes in the far right are the ones they show on Grey's Anatomy.
View at night!
♥Sisterly Love♥The Space Needle
The girls with their "Quackers"
We "Rode the Duck". It's a 1 hour tour on land and then 30 minute tour on the water.
The girls were so good and they really enjoyed it!
It was freezing, but the girls never complained once.
Seattle Aquarium
Pike's Place Market
Seattle Skyline
On the warm Monorail back to our hotel
Touching the baby lobsters

The famous "throwing of the fish"

They were so friendly with the kids!

They sold beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers for only $5.00
The girls played at the park. I didn't realize how dirty and city like it would be there. It was actually kind of scary. Darrick was offered drugs while the girls played in the park...nice!

The Japanese Restaurant that we ate lunch at...great Sushi!!Walking down to the waterfront to ride the carousel
We ended our night with a nice horse drawn carriage ride through the city.
My girls and I...I'm so blessed to have them!
The girls got to feed the horse carrots when we were done!

Beavers Game

Darrick's brother-in-law (Mickey) has a cousin named Danny Putnam that plays for the Portland Beaver's. So we took the girls on family day.
Jordy didn't want her picture taken...can you tell?
We had a little talk and now Jordy is camera ready. Kids got to go on the field and play catch.
It's a beautiful field

There was a rain delay so Darrick took Ashlyn down on the field to take a picture with Danny!
Danny at bat!
This is how the girls and I passed the time in the car while Darrick was picking up dinner.

Trip to Cali

We flew home to California to spend some time with family before Darrick and I flew out to Ireland from there.
We love JetBlue...the girls do awesome flying. We don't even bring things for them to do on the plane anymore because they are so into watching Nickelodeon or Disney Channel, that they never used anything we brought.
Jordy with Emma. This was the first time they had seen her since she was born. They definitely loved to play with her and watch her every move. Jordyn's favorite thing, much to our dismay, was picking her up.
The girls in their matching dresses!
Ashlyn and Baby Emma. I think the girls might call her "Baby Emma" forever. They never just say "Emma". I didn't realize how bad Ashlyn needed her bangs trimmed until I saw this picture. They are now trimmed...thank goodness!
Jordy, Baby Emma, Ashlyn, Jessi, Meme and Yahtzee who looks like she's on top of Emma's head!
The girls asleep at my sister Tammy's house. Ashlyn had just told me she was scared, so I went up a couple minutes later to check on them and this is how they were. I thought it was sweet that they were holding hands and she felt safe with her sister.

Ashlyn was happy to stay dry under her umbrella

Jordyn was soaked after the game!

But she still managed to score 3 goals!!

Shooting Stars

Jordyn is ready to play her first soccer game of the season. The field she plays at just opened and it's beautiful. It's all turf!
Go Jordyn!!!
Taking a water break!
Daddy said 20 quarters for every goal...she is excited!
Ashlyn wanted to take a picture!
This is Ashlyn's new chair, she is so excited about it!
Happy to be watching sister...
She wanted to do a funny face
Her mad face
Jordyn warming up after her break Good game Jordy! You made 2 goals in your first game! That's 40 quarter's from Daddy.

In this video you can hear how much Ashlyn cheers on her sister!

Here's Jordyn making her first goal of the game, please excuse the yelling...I can't help myself.

First Day of School

Ashlyn had her First Day of Pre-K. She is so excited to have the same teachers that Jordyn had for Pre-K last year.

She was so excited to wear the outfit Onna bought her for her first day!

Jordyn had her first day of Kindergarten Orientation and also couldn't wait to wear the outfit Onna got her.

Our "Baby Girl" as we still call her...is growing up!

Jordyn has PM Kindergarten so she goes to school at 11:40. Daddy surprised her and came home from work with flowers and a cupcake for her first day of Kindergarten!

She's all ready to go!
So excited about the backpack!

All lined up outside her classroom door, ready to go!
Now for my favorite story from her first day of school...
So when I picked her up from school, her Principal walked them out and lined them up. Our conversation went like this...
Me-"Jordyn, did you see that man that walked you out? He is your Principal"
Jordyn-"No, he's the cooker guy"
Me-"What do you mean the cooker guy?
Jordyn-"Nevermind"
So as we drive by the Principal while we're leaving I say, "See that man right there in the green tie, he is your Principal."
Jordyn-"No mom, he's the cooker guy."
Me-"No, he's the Principal. His name is Mr. Kitchen"
As soon as I said his name it hit me...the cooker guy is Mr. Kitchen...Mr. Kitchen is the Principal.
I love that story!!
