Mission Accomplished
*When Jordy got home from school and I was carrying the box downstairs I got a great idea!*
Ashlyn was afraid to go down, but being the nice Mom that I am I told Jordyn to just let go. I knew she'd love it if she tried it. You can tell by her face that she's not sure until it's over if she liked it!

Oregon Wine Tasting
We took the Wheatland Ferry across the Willamette River to get to the wineries. This was my first time on a ferry, so many new experiences!
We're aboard and ready to cross the river
Nicole, Myself, and Lindsay at Arcane Winery. This was a small private winery with excellent wine. We all bought a bottle there, it was so good. Since it was Valentine's weekend every winery had an awesome spread of appetizer's. Between the wine and all the yummy food, we were pretty much in heaven ALL day!
The second winery we went to was called Methven. This place was beautiful! Allen the owner (in the picture above) is a dentist during the week and makes wine in his free time. We loved Allen! He took us on a special barrell tasting tour. It was a first for all of us. We had never tasted wine straight out of the barrell. It was good, you could definitely taste the oak! They had gourmet cheeses and the best Rib Roast ever! They had a live band and gourmet chocolates. It doesn't get any better than that!!
Darrick enjoying his wine and looking at all the barrells
Nicole feeling at home with all the barrells
Nicole and Lindsay at the last winery called Hauer of the Dauen (pronounced Hour of the Dawn). This was our least favorite winery. The wine was ok. They let you taste at least 15 different ones and you can bet, us girls tasted them all. How else will you know if there is one that you like?
Here we are about to head back home. We had to get a picture with the escaping grape! Thanks Honey for an awesome Valentine's day, I had a blast with you and my two friends in Oregon!!
